Shell LubeAnalyst's sample report is the heart of your oil analysis program. The reverse side of the report contains a basic guide to the test performed and what they mean.

Data is categorized into 6 sections.

Reference Information Lists the specific reference data for the piece of equipment and its systems by make, model and oil type in use.
Unit Information Details the unit, tag, asset or other identification and description of the sampling point. The overall status of the sample and the date is was taken are listed here for easy reference.
Recommendations Each lab makes a series of recommendations for each sample processed. It contains a statement of component condition based on the analysis, assessment of probable causes of abnormal conditions--if detected, corrective actions, and resample recommendations.
Spectrochemical Analysis Is a measurement in PPM of the major elements studied to determine system serviceability. For details of this critical and useful measurement and is value in predictive maintenance, select this link.
Sample Information Is the background data that customers provide for each sample. It includes units since new of major overhaul, last oil change and make-up oil added since last change.
Physical Test Results This section details the properties of the lubricant in service. Values outside acceptable limits are underlined.
