Power Protection For Power Generation
You are responsible for maintaining power plant equipment in top operating condition. Your equipment must operate continuously or during peak loads. How do you know the machinery is in good operating condition? How do you know when to perform maintenance? Can your machinery continue to operate until the next scheduled outage?
You use quality Shell lubricants to assure trouble free operation. You use Shell LubeAnalyst oil analysis services. You have the peace of mind of knowing when problems are occurring and what you have to do to correct those problems. Your plant operating at capacity. You can sleep at night.
This veteran experience is backed by solid guideline research in Shell LubeAnalyst's historical records—the largest single-source testing database in commercial oil analysis.
All Shell LubeAnalyst operations are conducted in accordance with the quality program based on ISO 9000 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B. Whether you are a conventional utility looking for ISO quality or a nuclear plant looking for Appendix B quality, Shell LubeAnalyst is there to serve your needs.
This entire process is completed within 24 hours after your sample is received.

When a critical condition is detected, we contact you immediately. For each sample tested, you’ll receive a Shell LubeAnalyst report documenting the test results, expert data analysts' interpretations, and any feedback provided.
If your test results are not normal, our analysts:

  • Interpret the relative severity of individual test results
  • Determine possible sources/causes of abnormalities
  • Recommend specific actions to diagnose these problems
  • To assist your maintenance management, the Shell LubeAnalyst status of each sampled system is classified into one of four categories: Normal, Monitor, Abnormal, or Critical. To make sure you fully understand the test results and their general meaning, additional interpretation data is printed on the reverse side of each report.
